I love my dog, even if he pooped in the house,
My dog loves me, even if I fell asleep and forgot to let him out.
I love my son, even if he got in trouble at school today,
My little boy loves me, even if I didn’t give him a Fruit by the Foot in his lunchbox.
I love my little girls, even if they grew up,
My daughters love me, even if they had to share a room sometimes.
I love my husband, even if he sometimes misses the trash can,
My husband loves me, even if I think I’m perfect.
Always remember, there is nothing worth sharing
Like the love that lets us share our name.
Quote is a lyric in the song “Murder in the City”, by the Avett Brothers. This line always give me the vapors.
Here are the REAL RULES of the challenge:
Write a ten line poem, which needs to contain the word “love” and can either include your favorite love quote or lyrics at the end. This is a variation from the Spread the Love Challenge, but then love has truly gotten around! Nominate 10 blogs to continue…
Here are MY Rules:
As far as nominating anyone for the challenge, since I opt out of awards, you can nominate yourselves. If you mention Inventing Real Life, I’ll reblog your poem. If you want to challenge 10 writers, be my guest.
Now get ’em…
