Five Photos, Five Stories: Day 3,

Ritu from But I Smile Anyway invited me to participate in this challenge.

Five Photos, Five Stories. Like most challenges, it isn’t without rules, or better said, a loose set of guidelines:

  • Post a photo each day for five consecutive days
  • Attach a story to the photo.  It can be fiction or non-fiction, a poem or simply a short paragraph – it’s entirely up to you.
  • At the end of each day, nominate one other blogger to take part

For my Day Three nomination, I’m going to nominate

Day Three:

My daughter, Sara, married her knight a few years ago. My son-in-law, Parker, is my first son-in-law. I adore him, he is a good guy and he and Sara are very much in love.

Parker is a funny guy. He keeps our family laughing and is partial to ending many sentences with “that’s what she said”. Spending any time with them leaves one doing the same for a few days after.

Our whole family got together for Thanksgiving last year. Instead of boxing turkey left-overs, I left with the mental “that’s what she said” frame of mind. Imagine my surprise after the school break to open up Blondie’s Kindergarten folder of stuff to take home and found this:
