Ritu from But I Smile Anyway invited me to participate in this challenge.
Five Photos, Five Stories. Like most challenges, it isn’t without rules, or better said, a loose set of guidelines:
- Post a photo each day for five consecutive days
- Attach a story to the photo. It can be fiction or non-fiction, a poem or simply a short paragraph – it’s entirely up to you.
- At the end of each day, nominate one other blogger to take part
For my Day Five nomination, I’m going to nominate jin okubu for my last nomination. Go get ’em Jin
Day Five: Sara’s Easter Egg
I can’t remember when it all began. My daughter Sara has turned dying Easter Eggs into her own artistic endeavor. Every year, it seems, the eggs are more lovely than the last. If you would like to know more about this, in Sara’s own words, head on over to hunnedo.com and check it out.
Things are looking up at Casa Mia!
Today I managed to land a position that I’d been hoping to grab. I’m not going to jinx it with too many details, but we will suffice to say that it is a sales management job as a vendor inside a big box store. Whew! That is a lot to say. Continue reading

As many of you may have heard, I’ve been goofing off with a side project, Hunnedo.com. I am doing most of the work myself and using it as a learning experience. It is turning into a learning experience fueled by coffee and tutorials.

I threw down the gauntlet of recipe love with my very first Blog Event. I talked the talk, but can I walk the walk?
I chose the difficult choice, but I figured it result in something that my family would enjoy and I was right. The Strawberry Shortcake Stuffed Golden Oreo Truffle was sweet and rich which is everything a proper Valentine should be. To give credit where credit is due, many thanks to the Life Made Sweeter blog for the wonderful adaptation of the Kraft Foods recipe. Continue reading
I’ve just started in Blogging 201 as of today and our assignment is to set up some goals!
I consider myself to be a goal-driven person as an ideal. But please don’t ask me why I haven’t exercised for a few days! I like to put goals to paper and look at them and make myself accountable to take the necessary steps to achieve them. These days, I have more motivation to start getting things achieved.
As some of you may know, I have more than one blog, I am hosting the up and coming hunnedo.com, which is a Pinterest bucket list with my three daughters, so all of my goals will include this endeavor as well. Inventingreallife has been a great project for me, personally. I’ve enjoyed connecting with a wider audience since taking Blogging 101. This site will continue to be my outlet, my chance to let it all hang out. Continue reading
My visit to the daily post handed me today’s blog idea..blogdea? (see what I did there?)
My mission, should I choose to accept, is to post the last picture I took and tell a story about it. I choose this mission and this blog will self-destruct in…
This is a photo of a morning in another well documented day in Harry’s life, he is my youngest child and his childhood has been constantly photographed, thanks to the IPhone. I took this photo for my pet project, hunnedo.com. I, (or should I say “we”?) are working on our latest Pinterest project featuring Paleo banana pancakes. You can find the pin right here.
